We all knew it would happen. LGBT activists have been warning about this ever since Virginia passed its constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage, as well as any benefits that would resemble marriage, such as wills and legal arrangements, for same-sex couples. An Alaskan lawmaker, according to an article published by the Washington Blade, has called for a constitutional amendment banning benefits for same-sex couples. You get that? They don't want to ban marriage... only benefits; legal items which should be available to all persons. The Alaskan Supreme Court ruled that the state government must extend benefits to the partners of LGBT employees. Anti-gay legislators don't want this to happen. I don't know if people in America really understand what the radical right wants. They want to take away all rights and privileges, which currently stand at very few, for LGBT citizens and their partners. Please, Please, America! Wake up and realize what is going on... the radicals are using our most precious governing documents to create legalized, institutionalized discrimination. This madness must stop.
