The International Lesbian and Gay Association (ILGA) will hold its next world conference March 27 - April 3, 2006 in Geneva, Switzerland. The ILGA world conference will be held at the same time as the conference for the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, which has yet to recognize the rights of gay and lesbian people. According to the IGLA website, the ILGA world conference will be "another occasion to remind the UN the urgent necessity to explicitly proclaim sexual orientation and the free expression of gender identity as human rights."
