Gay Briefs Thursday, October 6, 2005 - relish staff report Click here to visit source Festival '05, an annual fundraiser for the Adam Foundation, will run from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 425 N. Cherry St. The Adam Foundation supports local gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and HIV/AIDs organizations. Tickets are $75, $65 in advance and $25 for students. For more information, visit www.adamfoundation.org OUT at the Movies will show HellBent at 7 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Main Theatre in the ACE Theatre Complex at the N.C. School of the Arts. Admission is $5. In the film, a serial killer murders two gay men in West Hollywood, and some gay kids visit the site of the killings later that night. For more information, call 918-0902. Triad Takeover Night, a chance to have dinner at various restaurants around the Triad with friends, will begin Oct. 28. The first night will run from 6 to 11 p.m. at Marshall Street Smokehouse and Wine Bar, 924 S. Marshall St. For more information, visit www.adamfoundation.org Martini Night, a time for the gay and lesbian community and its supporters at Speakeasy Jazz, is held from 6 to 9 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month. Participants can enjoy music, appetizers and a chance to socialize. Martini Night is free, and it is sponsored by the Adam Foundation and the Triad Business and Professional Guild. The Triad Business and Professional Guild meets at 6 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month at the Airport Marriott in Greensboro. The guild is a nonpartisan organization that promotes networking for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. The meetings begin with a social hour (with a cash bar), followed by dinner and a program. For more information, call (336) 272-4256. The Winston-Salem chapter of PFLAG (Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) meets from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on the fourth Monday of every month at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, 2690 Fairlawn Drive. For more information, call 760-8865. Metropolitan Community Church of Winston-Salem welcomes worshippers of all sexual orientations, races and ages.
