From the UNCG PRIDE! Website: Stop the Silence Sexual Health Awareness UNCG PRIDE! is committed to educating the Student Body on the issues of sexual health awareness. December is World AIDS Month. Since classes are out of session in December we are recognizing it now. NOVEMBER 17 - PRIDE! Movie Night, "Philadelphia" with Tom Hanks. Light refreshments provided with discussion following. EUC Cone Ballroom B, 7:00pm DECEMBER 1 - World AIDS Day, Misty Perry, former Board member, graces us with one of her fun & engaging, but always enlightening presentations! Alexander Room, EUC 7:30pm Source ====== Last week UNCG PRIDE! held a meeting in conjunction with their theme of "Stop the Silence." Shane Burton, of the Triad Health Project, was the guest speaker and touched such issues as what THP is and what it does, along with other topics such as statistics regarding Guilford County area individuals infected with HIV/AIDS and what college students can do to help out in the fight against HIV/AIDS. World AIDS Day is December 1st, with December being World AIDS Month.
